Goldeneye: Bloodlust is a custom campaign, designed with challenge in mind for veterans of the game, and especially balanced to make PC experience more engaging (while the lower difficulty mode is still balanced for console play) All of the exclusive multiplayer levels have been repurposed as an all new single player campaign, each level usually with maximum amount of objectives to complete. Rethink how to play, most guards will carrypowerful weapons that they typically wont drop, (although, they will drop magazines!) in an effort to make the gameplay interesting and challenging, and to encourage the player to explore the enviornment for weapons and ammo. Packed with intensity, boss fights, drama, cutscenes, a story of espionage and imminent nuclear annihilation -
as the name suggests: Bloodlust is not for the faint of heart!

People may not know this, but the typical way Goldeneye is played on PC though the 1964 emulator 60fps with Mouse+Keyboard seems to break the AI in multiple ways. Their accuracy is ruined, they react slow, they just aren't much of a threat anymore. The game running at 60fps may have some blame for this, the engine probably just isn't designed for that sort of thing, so the AI doesn't react how it should. Because of this, the mod has been balanced with a focus on making PC gameplay challenging again - the guards have been adjusted: buffed reaction times, accuracy, injury responses, etc.
There has been a careful attempt to also balance the console gameplay, too. It's a strange and delicate balancing act that probably hasn't been attempted before.
Also, Keep in mind that the mod is balanced around being good at getting lots of headshots, otherwise the enemies will feel tough. To get better at headshots, you should turn off Auto-aim, as you cannot really hit heads with it on without manually aiming. It will ruin your swiftness in aiming for the head with it enabled.>

There are strictly recommended difficulties per platform:

-N64 console:the balance is around on Wuss mode - recommended difficulty.
-PC M+K: the balance is around Normal mode - recommended difficulty.

Most playtesting was done on PC M+K, on Normal.

HOW TO PLAY:
This mod was developed primarily using THIS N64 emulator package on the default settings.
Everything on the emulator is already setup for perfect PC play with Mouse & Keyboard. No tweaking needed.
For obvious legal reasons, the original N64 game rom can't be provided.
On N64, of course you must use a Flashcart (Everdrive, or alternatives) and simply put the patched rom on the SD card. Expansion pak not required!

1.Get the romhack (xdelta) hosted @ archive.org
2. Go to THIS rom patcher
3. Patch your original Goldeneye rom with the Bloodlust .xdelta
4. Now you can play, good luck!
